Stanford does not have a pre-med major. For any of the health professions, you may major in any discipline.

Getting Pre-Med Advice

There are pre-med advisors available to help you with your ideas, coursework planning, long-term objectives, and options for gaining experience.

All current undergraduate students and alumni who are interested in pursuing a pre-health career are encouraged to make an appointment to meet with one of the pre-health advisors. It is a good idea to seek up-to-date advising from these advisors more than once per year.

Pre-health advisors meet with Stanford undergraduate students and alumni and provide advice in a variety of formats:

For announcements, upcoming events, and other opportunities, join the pre-med mail list for your class year (to hear from Academic Advisors) and Stanford Pre-med Association (SPA) mail list (to hear from SPA, a student-run organization).

We have developed a Pre-Med Canvas site (current Stanford Students only). To be added to the site, please submit this webform.

Stanford's Pre-Med Advisors are available to meet with Stanford undergraduate students and alumni!
